Sunny skies mixed with cloudy spells prevailed across the country today.An upper level trough rotating north of the Yucatan Peninsula has been providing some instability over northern Belize. The surface flow will remain east to southesterly through the start of the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will develop mainly inland during the afternoon. A tropical wave,currently over the central Caribbean,will reach coastal Belize during Sunday.Showers will increase for most coastal areas during Sunday.(modified July 22nd,2020).
